Nephew of artist Gianfranco Renzi and Grandson of the late artist Giuseppe Renzi, Joseph Caputo was born in Chicago in 1965.
Working in his family flower business was his career for 20 years but his true creative work was always painting.
In 2001 he sold his company to follow a path taken by his uncle and late grandfather that started in Alvito Italy over 50 years ago.
As Joseph travels often between the United States and Italy, he has established a studio in Rome Italy, Chicago Illinois , and Mesa Arizona.
